COAST MIDWIFERY

Seeking registered midwife to share full caseload in new practice.

Work in one of the most beautiful areas of the lower mainland, with easy access to beaches, mountains, trails, and good coffee; home to lots of young active outdoorsy families.  The practice has many returning clients (practice owner has been working on north shore for the past 5 years).   Hospital privileges are at Lion’s Gate Hospital, a small community hospital with consultants often 20-30 minutes away.  Homebirth rate is 10% or less per year. 

Coast Midwifery North Shore is a home-visit style practice without rented office or office staff.

Qualifications

1. Registration to practice in BC.  A minimum 1-year of clinical midwifery experience preferable.
2. Want to work full-time, 50-60 births per year.
3. Self-driven and organized.

Be up to working as team of two, possibility of expanding in future.

Start date: Ideally March (part-time) moving to full-time in April 2012.
