Locum needed for one year starting May 2012. Small, supportive, midwifery practice on Vancouver Island B.C., is looking for a locum, with the possibility of permanent position, to join an established, shared practice. Our practice is based in Errington, a vibrant little community 10 km outside of Parksville and Qualicum Beach and provides care to women from Nanaimo, Port Alberni, Qualicum Beach, Parksville as well as Ucluelet and Tofino. Care is provided to approximately 4-6 clients per/month with a 35% homebirth rate. We maintain privileges in both Port Alberni and Nanaimo hospitals. We are looking for a midwife interested in working in a relaxed and mutually supportive midwifery practice in a semi-rural setting.
