Greetings Midwives...

We are seeking a midwife to come join the Malachite Midwives team in Kelowna, BC.  We will welcome a midwife for a short-term locum position, or for a longer-term contract.  Start dates are flexible, although we could provide a full caseload for another midwife as early as August.

We currently work as a team of two and will be supporting a fourth-year UBC student from Sept-April.

• The practice accepts 4 clients per midwife each month, and we have a waiting list for most months.
• Our home birth rate is approximately 70%, and we are working collegially within the hospital environment when we're there!
• Two second attendants provide coverage for homebirths, so that we get ample off-call time... 
• ...and we work within a supportive community of midwives throughout the Okanagan valley.
