Alberta – Calgary
Come to Calgary, Alberta!! On April 1, 2009, the Alberta Health Services started public funding of midwifery services. Midwives in Alberta enjoy a very favourable remuneration package. Calgary is a thriving young city and demand for midwifery care far surpasses our capacity.
Since 1996 Birth Partnership Midwifery Services has supported a "community of caregivers", we are a teaching practice with a strong homebirth rate (60-70%). We offer full administrative support in a lovely clinic in Southwest Calgary. We work in teams of 4 midwives that back each other up so that we can enjoy a healthy work/home balance. Midwives in Calgary have good relationships with other care providers and have admitting privileges to all three hospitals.
We are looking for an experienced midwife to work full time and to start September. We will consider a strong new registrant or recent graduate. This position will become a permanent full time position for the right candidate, after a successful three month probation period.
Please forward your resume and cover letter by fax or email as soon as possible. Only the applicants being interviewed will be contacted. Thank you in advance for applying.
