Come and enjoy island living! Plum Midwifery is looking for a locum as one of our midwives will be on maternity leave as of January 2011. Plum Midwifery is a cheerful, intimate, shared care practice nestled in the woods in the beautiful and quickly developing Comox Valley. Here we place an emphasis on work/life balance and the Comox Valley affords every opportunity to enjoy life both on and off call.
A bit about our practice:
We are a team of 4 midwives who work on a rotation of three midwives per month with the 4th midwife off. This enables us to have three months off a year and a call schedule that permits for life's other demands. We have privileges at St Joseph's hospital in the Comox Valley. We are active in our community and our hospital is currently participating in the MORE OB program.
The Position:
