A petition is set to be delivered to world leaders in the hope of increasing midwifery resources and saving lives this September.
The White Ribbon Alliance has joined forces with the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) and Save the Children to call for heads of state to increase midwifery resources for education, recruitment and retention.
We want to collect as many signatures as possible before the UN General Assembly meetings in September and encouraging all midwives to share with their networks with the message ‘’midwives save lives’’.
We hope to hand over the global petition to our Canadian delegation by September 6th, 2011. Don't wait, sign the petition now!
