Mission Midwifery is seeking a Registered Midwife for a short-term locum position beginning June 2011 with a flexible finish date (approximately end of August or September 2011).
Mission B.C. is a community with a small-town feel with easy access to the city of Vancouver (an hour drive or a downtown train ride on the West Coast Express). We have our own incredible backyard setting, close to hiking, camping, fishing & mountain lake swimming. For more community info see:

This locum position will earn full billings with a set equitable overhead. You will work in partnership with another full time midwife sharing call and clinic hours. We are a supportive and fun team--balancing work with family/personal life is our absolute practice priority. Our clinic is located in a beautiful heritage house in downtown Mission. We are a relaxed home-based clinic with full-time office manager support (she's often baking banana bread in the background--she takes special requests!). We work closely with other midwifery practices in our community to provide our clients with home birth support, and our hospital clients deliver with us at the new Abbotsford Regional Hospital.
