Brandon Regional Health Authority is currently recruiting a Midwife to fill a full time position. The individual will offer both home and hospital birthing options and work collaboratively with other professionals and function as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of an educational program approved by the College of Midwives f Manitoba (CMM)
• Eligible for registration by the CMM
• Eligible to obtain admitting privileges at BRHC
• Eligible for liability insurance coverage specified by the Brandon RHA
• Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team
• Ability to work flexible hours and on call schedule
• Current BLS or BLS Instructor certification within the past 12 months
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification with intubation
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
• Advanced level of written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational, decision making and problem solving skills
• Ability to display independent judgment
• Ability to work with all staff
• Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population
• Ability to respect and promote confidentiality
• Ability to perform the duties of the position on a regular basis
