Andrew received his MD from U.B.C. in 1992 and worked for 7 years as a rural GP-surgeon in northern B.C. before returning to complete a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is currently the Clinical Director of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanton Territorial Hospital in Yellowknife where he lives with his wife and two boys. His main current areas of research interest are breech birth, the overestimation of risk in modern obstetrics, and the impact of epidural analgesia on labour and cesarean section rates.
