Call for Abstracts 2012

CANADIAN ASSOCIATION OF MIDWIVES  

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION : NOW CLOSED

The Canadian Association of Midwives Annual Conference will be held October 17 to 19, 2012  in St. John's Newfoundland, one of the last three unregulated jusridictions in Canada.
CAM's Program Planning Committee is inviting Canadian and international speakers to submit  abstracts  for oral and poster presentations on scientific, clinical and philosophical topics of importance to practicing midwives and maternity care providers, students, educators and health policy makers.
Abstracts submissions deadline: March 30th, 2012 at 5:00pm EST (Eastern Standard Time).

Guidelines for Abstract Submissions: The CAM Scientific Abstract Review Committee will conduct a blind review of all submitted abstracts. The CAM Program Planning Committee will then select abstracts of interest for oral presentations and poster displays in English and/or French. Abstracts may be submitted in either language. Simultaneous translation will be provided for plenary sessions during the conference if funding is available. Deadline: Abstracts must be submitted no later than March 30th, 2012 at 5:00pm (EST). Abstracts must be submitted using the online survey. For questions or assistance contact Annie Hibbert at admin@canadianmidwives.org . The CAM office will notify all authors of the results by May 31st, 2012.

Please Note: Presenters whose abstracts are accepted will be responsible for their own travel, accommodation, conference registration fee and other expenses related to their presentation. All presenters, including poster presenters, are required to register for the conference by September 14th, 2012 for their presentation to be listed in the final conference program.
