Welcome to CAM

As the national organization representing the profession of midwifery, the Canadian Association of Midwives promotes, supports and advocates for midwifery as a regulated, publicly funded and integral part of the primary health care system in all provinces and territories.

CAM participates in national initiatives for maternal/newborn health and high quality, sustainable maternity care that meets the needs of childbearing women and families. CAM also provides information about midwifery to the public, governments and other health professions and represents Canadian midwifery internationally.
