BRANDON REGIONAL HEALTH AUTHORITY PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES requires a MIDWIFE Brandon Regional Health Authority is currently recruiting a Midwife to fill a full time position. This individual will work collaboratively with other professionals and function as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team to provide effective, comprehensive midwifery service to childbearing women and their families. The priority populations to be targeted for this service will include women who currently do not receive adequate prenatal health care and are socio-economically high-risk clients, as well as those who reside in the under-served areas.

Village Health Midwifery practice is seeking a midwife to join our practice, beginning this summer. Our practice is located in South Surrey, and we serve the surrounding community of Surrey, White Rock, Delta and Langley. It is a diverse community with a fast-growing population of young families. Our pleasant office space is centrally located near many amenities, 45 minutes from Vancouver and 15 minutes from the US border. We have a busy, established shared-care practice. You would be joining two experienced midwives, who are supportive mentors. Our practice would be particularly beneficial for new graduates as well as new registrants. The families we serve are lovely and varied, and include many returning clients. We currently have about a 30% home birth rate. Our two local hospitals, which offer ongoing continuing education opportunities, are very midwife-friendly and we enjoy well-established collaborative relationships with all levels of health care professionals.
